A Tale of Three Kings: The twists and turns of this epic saga begin with George V. After celebrating his Silver Jubilee in 1935, the King died in January 1936, leading to the accession of his son, the Prince of Wales Edward VIII. However, his reign was not to last. Edward was never officially crowned, but was King of England for 11 months and 22 days. Edward VIII was the first British king to voluntarily give up his throne, abdicating out of love for American socialite Wallace Simpson. The king, head of the English church, could not marry a divorced woman and still rule. With Edward's abdication, the throne of England fell into the hands of his younger brother, the Duke of York. Queen Elizabeth II's father was born King George VI. known. Only 900 copies were made, which are delivered in particularly elaborate packaging and with a certificate. The central cartouche of the coin design features cameo profile portraits of the three men, highlighted by 24-karat gold plating. The coin is part of the Royal Star series.
