Perth Mint

The Perth Mint is Australia's official gold and silver coin mint and is wholly owned by the Government of Western Australia. The Perth Mint was founded on June 20, 1899, two years before Australian federation in 1901. Along with the Royal Australian Mint, which produces Australian dollar coins for circulation, the Perth Mint is the older of the two mints that issue legal tender in Australia.
