The reverse of the coin features the detailed portrait of Mona Lisa with her original colored background, a half-length portrait of Lisa Gherardini by Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. On the bottom of the reverse there are the inscriptions: "LEONARDO DA VINCI" - the name of the Italian artist, "MONA LISA" - the name of the coin and "1503 - 1506" - the years in which Leonardo is believed to have painted the coin Mona Lisa.
