The wedge-tailed eagle has been the subject of the Perth Mint's outstanding series designed by John M. Mercanti since 2014 and is Australia's largest bird of prey. The coin features a dramatic image of a swooping wedge-tailed eagle with a snake in its talons. A first for The Perth Mint, the bird's lustrous ultra-high relief art is particularly proud of the coin's delicate matte finish. The reverse also features The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark. The coin will be shipped with a numbered certificate of authenticity and a presentation box.

Depicting the powerful predator with a snake in its talons, the coin is minted using our latest ultra-high relief specification - a technique that gives the design an even more three-dimensional aspect. As proof of the reverse, the polished bird motif stands out particularly proudly on the coin's delicately matted, concave-shaped panel. The Perth Mint “P” mint mark also appears on the reverse.
